Education Portfolio
educational consultant
I love to create spaces that evoke feelings of safety, belonging, & understanding. My style involves marrying bold modern elements with vintage aesthetics.
I am 100% committed to equity for all people regardless of their race, sex, color, religion, disability, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other defining characteristics. All people should be free of any and all types of discrimination and everyone should have equal opportunity to succeed and advance on the bases of merit and ability. I envision a world that is filled with people who's leadership creates a team atmosphere that includes people of all races that reflects the community in which we live.
In all spaces, I hope to bring a restorative justice, afro-centric lens to my work. I find the issues of racism and discrimination both urgent and complex with multiple socio-economic, cultural, environmental, and health factors contributing to them daily. I believe that by working with educators, families, & students there is great potential for creating an understanding of both the underlying and blatant problems facing BIPOC communities; as well as in universities, School Districts, and school sites . I hope that by authentically partnering with LEAs, families, students and communities, I can provide my expertise to help anyone I work with the opportunities to set missions and objectives that lead to the goal of building community empowerment and a restoration of healthy supportive relationships.
